SPECIALIZE IN IMMERSIVE TECHNOLOGY AT Oakland university & college for creative studies

  • Fall Semester - OU

This course covers theories & applications of machine vision. Including image formation (imacts of lighting & optics), image processing, feature detection & matching, and feature-based alignment. Includes laboratory-based & an open hands-on team project to demonstrate an application using the machine vision techniques learned in the class. Students will gain hands-on experience for machine vision industrial applications.

  • Fall Semester - OU

This course covers theories & applications of extended reality (XR) (virtual, augmented, & mixed reality), user experience techniques for the human-centered design of XR, and a hands-on team-based project to prototype & evaluate XR experiences. Students will learn to describe differences in XR technologies, apply user-centered approaches to the design of VR/AR applications, prototype experiences, conduct user studies & critique designs.

  • Coming Soon - CCS

Students will understand the fundamentals of good user experience in AR & VR spaces, learn to control optimization/performance, be introduced to UI Widget Blueprints in Unreal Engine, learn interaction capabilities & control methods & creative development of user experience & interaction designs pushing innovation within hardware & software.
